Today I made a pact with one of the cats of the people that I babysit for. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I really do not like cats and this one insists on following me around everywhere and occasionally sinking its claws into my flesh.
I have heard that cats develop attachments to the people who show no interest in them, so I decided to make friends with this one, but I thought that perhaps I should set some ground rules.
Rule number one: Dale (that's the cat) is not allowed to come within a one foot radius of me. As long as he stays outside of this boundary I will pet him.
Rule number two: If he makes me sneeze I will remove him from my sight.
Rule number three: He is not allowed to make disgusting noises.
Rule number four: He is not allowed to try to jump in my lap.
Rule number five: He may not sneak up on me.
If he complies to these rules I will no longer push him off the couch or call him names.
However, I still retain the right to flaunt my opposable thumbs at him.
Also, Harry Potter in two days, so...
and,
And that's how Clara C's it!
